Lecture-Forum on "Strategic Planning in the Age of Emerging Technologies"

Ms. Rebecca McDuff, Regional Information Officer of the US Embassy, was the guest speaker of the lecture-forum on how to maximize the use of information technology in effectively conducting strategic planning in an academic environment.

Accompanying Ms. McDuff was Ms. Florabel "Pong" Aureus (extreme left in picture below), Deputy Director of TJIC.

Representative-guests from the more than twenty (20) different Colleges and Universities within Davao City attended the occasion. Taking advantage of their presence, the EducationUSA Satellite Advising Center handed out to them freebies consisting of EducationUSA designed mini-bags containing other freebies like EducationUSA ballpens, pencils, key chains & luggage tags. Opportunity Grant brochures and application forms together with the EducationUSA Adviser's calling cards were also placed inside the bags.

Of course, International Studies students mostly those majoring in American Studies joined and actively participated in the lecture-forum. All the questions that were raised came from them.
