Education USA Outreach @ Maco National Highschool

Last January 16, 2010 the AdDU-Education USA satellite advising center conducted an outreach program/ orientation seminar at Maco National High School. This was the first time that Student volunteers joined  and actively participated in my outreach activities.

The student volunteers namely, Hyacinth Sazzy Fiorella G. Calicdan, Frances Femille C. Garcia, and Joshua Manguilimotan are all fourth year International Studies Students majoring in American Studies . This was a welcome opportunity for the three senior American studies students in as much as they get to showcase what they know about the U.S. and at the same time earn credit hours for their Practicum class.

No less than the Superintendent of Compostela Valley Province, Dr. Lillian C. Calicdan Ed D. who  suggested to conduct an orientation seminar at Maco National High School since among all, and judging by the school’s performance in the national and local interschool competitions, "this school is the most competitive, attentive and responsive".

After the program, the team was treated to a sumptuous  lunch at the Home Economics room of the school. The people, the staff, and the faculty were indeed hospitable. Everyone in the dining hall expressed different opinions and commendations. They also inquired about the future events of Education USA.
